HONGKONG UNIVERSITY MACE ΠΟΝ

When Hongkong was captured by the Japanese the university lost its mace, probably during the looting. The staff of the Univer- sity only know that it was made by a London. silversmith between 1916 and 1917. Anyone who knows the name of the maker is asked to write to Colonel G. Bird, The Old Farmi, Beech, Alton, in Hampshire.
